The moon shimmered through the above trees made the fog about them glow an almost eerie shade of blue. Jacob crossed his arms as he proudly watched his(well, one was his anyway) two Tokotas dutifully pull their load. Their power and determination fascinated him greatly. He watched as Vine and Kala plowed through the fog as it bellowed and puffed around them like wisps of smoke as their feet pushed through the snow.
Close by was another Tokota, which he kept an eye on. Belka he believed was her name. She belonged to a rival on the Pack Leader side. He had never met or seen his opponent until tonight, then he showed up out of the fog with the brown Tokota at his side as if the forest itself had spit them out. Immediately Jacob had disliked both of them. Especially when they decided to challenge him.
It was easy enough to see the other shared almost the same amount of dislike for him as well. Either way, Jacob wasn't going to let him come between him and victory. After all it had taken half the day to pry Vine from Belmoth's grip, his right arm was still bandaged from the bite wound the boy had given him. Oh well, that's the price you had to pay he supposed. As he admired the raw power behind Vine and Kala's thrusts and efforts, he felt the other Tokota's handler step up nearby to watch his own Tokota.
Seeing a great opportunity to point out that his Tokota were currently in the lead, Jacob looked over, holding his hand in the shape of an 'L'. "I hope you don't mind loosing, wild boy." He taunted, placing one hand on his hip as the elf looked over at him with a frown.
"You haven't won yet."
"I haven't lost yet either." He grinned and the elf rolled his eyes.

Things like this make me wish I didn't suck at drawing backgrounds. ;-; This lovely three day project is finally done. Had to do a lot of stuff I've never done before. Don't know that I'm 100% satisfied with it, but for what I can get done with as busy as I am... I'm pretty proud.
